Wick was an orphan taken in by the Tarasov Russian Mafia and raised as an assassin. His ruthlessness earned him the nickname Baba Yaga or Boogeyman. At the beginning of the first film, Wick has been inactive for five years, having retired from the Tarasov Russian Mafia. This film focuses on John Wick (Keanu Reeves) and his search for the men who broke into his home, stole his beloved vintage car, and killed his little dog. The dog, Daisy, was the final gift from his recently-deceased wife, Helen (Bridget Moynahan).
