The Queen's Blade series of visual combat books features a wide and diverse set of characters. The series focuses on a tournament called the Queen's Blade, a tournament held by the Gods every four years to determine a Queen. Only women are allowed to enter the tournament. The main character of the series is , the heiress of the Vance Family and next in line to be countess, traveling to Gainos, the Queen's Capital, to participate in the Queen's Blade tournament.

The characters of Queen's Blade are designed by various popular artists such as Hirokazu Hisayuki, Eiwa, Hirotaka Akaga, and F.S.
