Read more about AAA Wunder at: Wikipedia Official Site: Studio Khara is a Japanese animated film directed by Hideaki Anno and the third of four films released in the Rebuild of Evangelion tetralogy, a remake of the original anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion. It is produced and co-distributed by Anno's Studio Khara, and was released in Japanese theaters on November 17, 2012. Shinji is salvaged from within Unit-01's core and restored to physical form by WILLE, an organization formed to defeat NERV and destroy its Evangelions. He is given a physical exam by Sakura Suzuhara, and given a cold reception from everyone else, including Misato, the leader of WILLE. Before Shinji can get any answers, WILLE is attacked by four more Nemesis Series. WILLE manages to launch the Wunder, a flying battleship made with mechanical additions over an organic base, much like the Evas. The Wunder is attacked by more Nemesis Series, but the vessel manages to destroy four of its number. Afterward, Shinji learns that Unit-01 has been refitted to act as the power source for the Wunder, and notices that he has been fitted with a collar around his neck. Ritsuko Akagi tells him that he must never pilot an Eva again, and that a bomb in the collar will detonate if he ever tries. Ritsuko then returns Shinji's broken SDAT player, the only item recovered from Unit-01. Sakura introduces herself as Toji Suzuhara's younger sister, to Shinji's confusion. Asuka, who now has an eyepatch, tells him that fourteen years have passed while he was trapped in Unit-01, and for some reason, EVA pilots like them did not grew older at all during that time. Evangelion Mark.09, seemingly piloted by Rei Ayanami, intercepts and breaks into the Wunder to retrieve Shinji. Mari manages to behead the Mark.09, but it remains operational and escapes. Misato theatens to explode Shinji's collar, but refrains to do so until it gets out of the signal's reach. Rei leads Shinji through the ruins of the GeoFront into NERV Headquarters, where he is reunited with his father, Gendo Ikari who informs Shinji that he is there to pilot a new Evangelion, Unit-13, alongside Kaworu. While exploring Central Dogma, Shinji finds that Rei has no memories, has little understanding of the world, and only does what she is ordered. Kaworu invites Shinji to play a piano duet, and the two bond after frequently playing together. Shinji gives Kaworu the SDAT player to fix it. The following day, he takes Shinji to the post-apocalyptic ruins of Tokyo-3, where Kaworu informs Shinji that his awakening of Unit-01 caused Third Impact, which killed everyone in the city and ruined the world further.
AAA Wunder has not been a contender in any CBUB matches.
