Read more about Thunder Megazord at: Wikipedia Official Site: Saban Zords are fictional colossal robots that appear in the Power Rangers media franchise which either come in the form of animals or vehicles. When the antagonists' monsters grow to giant size, the Power Rangers summon and pilot these robots to fight them. When the individual Zords are inadequate for the task, they can join together to become a humanoid robot called a Megazord. Rangers outside of the core team either have a single Zord that, in certain cases, can change into a humanoid robot form or a set of Zords that can merge to become their own Megazord. Every season of Power Rangers from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers onwards has seen a new set of Zords being deployed by the current Power Rangers, which are based on the mecha from the connected Super Sentai series. The first set of Zords in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers are the Dinozords, which are based on prehistoric creatures and consist of the Mastodon, Pterodactyl, Triceratops, Sabertooth Tiger, and Tyrannosaurus. These five combine to form the Megazord. Later on, the Green Ranger's Dragonzord and Titanus the Carrierzord are added to the set. The Dragonzord can combine with the Mastodon, Triceratops, and Sabertooth Tiger Zords to become Dragonzord in Battle Mode, and can also combine with the Megazord to become the Mega Dragonzord. The Mega Dragonzord, in turn, can combine with Titanus to form the Ultrazord. The second set of Zords are the Thunderzords, introduced in season 2, which are based on mythical beasts and consist of the Red Dragon, Lion, Unicorn, Griffin, and Firebird. The Red Dragon can transform into a humanoid Warrior Mode, which can then combine with the other four Thunderzords to become the Thunder Megazord. Later, the White Ranger's Tigerzord joins the set, able to transform into a Warrior Mode as well, which can combine with the Lion, Unicorn, Griffin, and Firebird Thunderzords to become the Mega Tigerzord. The final member of the set is Tor the Shuttlezord, which can combine with the Red Dragon in Warrior Mode to enter its own Battle Mode, or combine with the full set of six Thunderzords to become the Thunder Ultrazord.
