The Merceneries series of video game take place in the world of international war, organized crime and private military companies. It contains characters of a number of different nationalities, from both the countries where the games take place (North Korea and Venezuela) and from elsewhere. There are three playable characters and many more non-playable characters who serve as antagonists and allies.

The following is a list of prominent characters in the series.

Christopher "Chris" Jacobs is a former Delta Force member from the United States. He is half-Black and half-Korean. After serving in the US Army for a number of years, he joined Executive Operations in 2004. He left in 2010 to form the Private Military Company with the other protagonists. He is the strongest mercenary and is able to speak Korean.

Chris Jacobs has not been a contender in any CBUB matches.
