She is the daughter of Johan Schmidt. Mother Superior first appeared in Captain America (1st series) #290 (February 1984), and was created by J.M. DeMatteis and Paul Neary. The character subsequently appears as Sin in Captain America #355-357 (July-September 1989). Sin appeared as part of the "Sisters of Sin" entry in the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe Update '89 #7, and in the All-New Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe A-Z #10 (2006). |
