Read more about Peter Bishop at: Wikipedia Official Site: Fox Peter Bishop is a fictional character on the Fox television series Fringe. He is portrayed by Joshua Jackson. Peter Bishop is the adopted son of mad scientist Walter Bishop and his wife Several events regarding Peter's personal affairs suggest that he's involved in more than he is aware of. He is possibly part of one of his father's experiments, as he remembers Walter wiring car batteries to his head and shocking him when he was a child. He apparently almost died from a rare form of bird flu when he was young, but he doesn't seem to remember this. In the final episode of season one, "There's More Than One of Everything", Walter visits Peter's grave, which lists his date of death as 1985; combined with Walter's assertion that he found a way to travel to a parallel world to regain something he lost, this implies that Walter's original son died of the flu and that Walter replaced him with Peter's duplicate from an alternate reality. This is further hinted at in season 2, when Peter has a dream of Walter taking him forcibly from his bed when he was a child (with a poster for a Challenger mission that never happened in our universe on his bedroom wall) and when Olivia (who can see people from the other universe described as a "glimmer") briefly sees Peter shine. Also, in Season 2, Episode 10, when Walter is shown a series of images relating to Peter, his coffin is one of them. In episode 12 of season 2, Walter states that he can't let Peter "die again". When Astrid later asks him what he meant, Walter says, "Some things are meant to be left alone." In the season two episode "Jacksonville", Walter re-activates Olivia's ability to spot things that are from the alternate universe to help evacuate a building that was going to be moved there. Peter and Olivia almost kiss before Olivia realizes she has the ability to see the building because she is afraid. In the end of the episode Olivia realizes Peter is from the alternate universe and Walter asks her not to tell him. In the episode 'The Man from the Other Side' Peter, when attempting to foil Newton's plan of bringing a bridge from the parallel universe, unexpectedly finds out that he is in fact, not from our universe. He is injured and while in the hospital, confronts Walter ("You said the effects of Newton's vibrations would be devastating. And they were, they..destroyed that FBI agent, they just...disintegrated him like he wasn't even there. But they didn't kill the man from the other side...and they didn't kill me. I'm not from here, am I?") and angrily blames Walter for his mother's (from our universe) suicide ("That's why my mother committed suicide, isn't it? She knew. Didn't she? And when I left, the guilt was too much for her to live with...the lie.") At the end of the episode, Olivia notifies Walter that Peter had checked out of the hospital and is now on the run to resume his isolated and nomadic pre-Fringe life. Despite attempts to track him down, Olivia is unable to locate him.
Peter Bishop has not been a contender in any CBUB matches.
