Damar was a recurring character in the science fiction television series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, played by Casey Biggs. He appeared in 23 episodes, and rose to a prominent role in the seventh and final season.

His full name is given as "Corat Damar" in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine relaunch novels, although these are not considered part of Star Trek canon.

Damar was the apprentice of Gul Dukat according to two non-canon Star Trek: Deep Space Nine companion novels (Terok Nor: Night of the Wolves and Terok Nor: Dawn of the Eagles); Corat Damar, holding the junior rank of Gil, was first posted to Terok Nor when Dukat was made Prefect of Bajor and quickly distinguished himself in Dukat's esteem.

The novels reveal that Damar was initially enthusiastic about serving in the Bajoran system alongside his mentor, Dukat, and particularly because Damar's civilian fiancee, Veja Ketan, was a journalist with the Cardassian propaganda service covering the occupation of the planet. A terrible accident in Tilar Province, Bajor, involving Veja, her colleague Natima Lang and a Bajoran resistance fighter forced the end of the couple's engagement and thus began Damar's strong aversion to anything relating to Bajor. The novels depict that Damar's career stalled as a result of the ending of his engagement to Miss Ketan and the Cardassian military taking a dim view of Damar needing time off duty to gather himself together emotionally.

Damar has not been a contender in any CBUB matches.
