Enhanced Strength: ultimate
“Khazan city is under attack tonight by an army of 40 story tall apes...”
The reporter continued covering the story as another massive figure landed in the crowd of destructive primates. The apes turned to the form that towered above them, as Larry hadn't really considered scale when he built the Sol-Bot.
Two of the apes launched themselves at the mech, and found their necks suddenly caught in the giant's hands. Sol-Bot bent them towards the ground, and with a sudden jerk, sent them flying out of the atmosphere. A horde of the apes fell upon the machine, and were similarly launched in every direction. Sol-Bot swung out, crushing bodies and lobbing off heads with every swing.
Another wave rushed Sol-Bot, and the robot lifted a fallen skyscraper. It swung the building, and knocked away the apes.
The former army was down to a small platoon that had hung back from the fight.

Enhanced Endurance: ultimate
The apes howled, and as they did they raised another of their kind from the ground: The Silverback.
It stood as tall as Sol-Bot while on his knuckles.
The Silverback reared its head, and inhaled deeply. As he did, a great ball of energy formed between its massive fangs. The ball reached critical mass, and an incredible beam shot at Sol-Bot. It hit the robot square in the chest, the focused force of multiple nuclear warheads propelling Sol-Bot backwards. The apes howled again, and descended on what they saw as a weakened opponent.
They could not have been more wrong. The robot had easily shaken off the attack, and when the apes reached Sol-Bot, they were smashed by the full force of the robots attacks.

Flight: superior (rank 2)
What few of the great apes remained, save the Silverback, fled from Sol-Bot, but they wouldn't be fleeing very far. As they climbed skyscrapers and scampered away, the robot armed the jets under its feet and on its arms, then launched.
Sol-Bot caught the apes with ease, chasing down the few minion apes that remained and eliminating the threat. Sol-Bot then switched his attention to the Silverback, the one remaining ape of the bunch.
The two squared off against each other, and charged. Massive fists went back and forth, the towers of man around them shook from the impacts.

Gadgetry: ultimate (rank 4)
The ape raged at Sol-Bot, but his strength wavered and his body tired while the machine continued to pound away. Feeling his life fading away, the ape focused all of its energy into one final energy blast. Sol-Bot's scanners picked up the unusually high energy signature, and grabbing the ape, flew out of the Earth's atmosphere where the blast couldn't harm anyone other than the ape and Sol-Bot.
The explosion was incredible, as was the sight of a slightly singed robot descending into the ruined city.
Now the final influence of Sollus on Larry's design would shine through. The machine lifted its hands, and the rubble began to swirl upwards, forming a cloud in the sky. There was a blinding flash of light, and where before the city had lied in ruin, the Skyscrapers stood tall, the damage unnoticeable.
Perhaps it was the simple misspelling on the robots back, maybe the fact that it showed up when the city so desperately needed it, or perhaps its act of restoration on the lesser beings of the world. Whatever it was, in the eyes of all who saw what it had done, it had earned its “Soul.” And so the name stuck.
