Igor 12 is one of the god Vulcan's practice dummies. He isn't terribly smart or agile, but he's strong, and he can take damage (he's designed to) so that his creator can test out various weapons. Should he be defeated in battle he will eventually recover, or be rebuilt by Vulcan, but not unnaturally quickly. After all, he's meant to test weapons given to heroes, not beat them up too much. (He might disagree with that notion. He WANTS to beat them up.)

When Vulcan went on vacation and left the door unlocked, Igor 12 escaped (taking a sword with him) and has been wandering around causing trouble since.

He looks rather like a Greek man in his thirties, strong and well-featured but made entirely of bronze. Despite the metallic look he's apparently flesh and blood, or at least flesh and ichor.

Igor 12 enjoys fighting. He was made to enjoy fighting. He doesn't so much like losing, but he knows it can happen.

He was made to fight heroes. He knows this in his every fiber. He enjoys all the other good things in life: wenching, drinking, reading, racing cars, setting off bombs, wrestling, even watching theatre. But a chance to fight a hero? He loves this even more than kittens and cookies.

Training Dummy Combat Mode

     Weapon Master: superior (rank 2)

Igor 12 is a training and testing device used to help heroes learn how to use their weapons. Thus, he can use any weapon that Vulcan could make. However, he only brought a sword with him.

This power is linked to the energy absorb power, which can boost it up to two ranks higher than normal with the usual effect on his skill with whatever weapon he is using.

If he continues to absorb to Ultimate without being able to expend the energy he will (rather than taking damage) explode entirely. The explosion will probably not hurt anyone else, and (as indicated in the Armor power) he will eventually pull himself back together in a day or two.

Training Dummy Armored Body

     Armor: superior (rank 2)

Igor 12 is made of bronze. When not in combat, his body feels like normal flesh and blood, or flesh and ichor at any rate, but in combat it becomes hard as bronze armor. When defeated by damage, it will take him one to two days to reform, though Vulcan might put him back together faster if he happens to be around.

This links to the kinetic-absorb power which lets him increase the rank of his armor to two ranks higher than normal, but after that, if he continues to absorb to Ultimate without being able to expend the energy, he will (rather than having a heart attack) explode. The explosion will probably not hurt anyone else. See above for recovery.

Training Dummy Energy Absorber

     Energy Absorption: standard (rank 1)

Absorbing energy attacks allows Igor 12 to be a more interesting challenge to the hero who is trying out a new lightning thrower, etc.

Igor 12 can use this energy to boost the effective skill of his Training Dummy Attack Mode (Weapon Master) to do whatever it is that the Weapon Master skill does for defense or attack purposes.

Training Dummy Shock Absorber

     Kinetic Absorption: standard (rank 1)

Absorbing kinetic energy allows Igor 12 to be a more interesting challenge to the hero who is trying out a new mace, broadsword, or other weapon which uses crushing force as a major component of its attack.

Igor 12 can use this absorbed energy to boost the defensive power of his armored body up to a point, though the boost bleeds off quickly.

Sword!

     Slashing Weapon: standard (rank 1)

It's a sword! It's sharp, edgy, and made of some metal that Vulcan created, but it isn't special otherwise. Igor 12 can use the edge in attempted lethal attacks or the flat or pommel in attempted non-lethal attacks (though really, hitting someone with a bar of metal will still hurt.)
