Day 01: My creature lives. While the rest of the world dabbles in creating human-based cyborgs my experiments have been working towards something far more ambitious. Why limit our scientific creations to improving something as fragile as the human condition when it is possible to create something so much more powerful? My polar bear cyborg is complete. A cybernetic creature unlike anything the world has seen before. He is physically perfect. But I can’t take all the credit. The polar bear was magnificent creature to being with. With my additions he is now quite possibly the most dangerous creatures on the planet. Testing and further lab work will commence tomorrow morning.
Day 12: The creature is alive and well and continuing to surpass all expectations. It has already mastered the English, Japanese, and Spanish languages and craves even more knowledge. It is insatiable. He has also become increasingly fond of chess and tactical warfare. The inclusion of a learning artificial computer element into the creature’s cerebral cortex has proven very beneficial. It has been said that integrating a learning element into the primal brain of an animal could possibly increase primordial tendencies but I believe this is nothing more then a common misconception unsupported by any peer-reviewed facts. The animal is completely well and very docile. However, it still does exhibit some animal tendencies which I hope will fade away with time.
Day 17: I have increased his technological abilities over the past few days. The animal was strangely fond of fire; I am not sure why but he begged me to provide him the ability to “play with fire”. How could a father refuse the request of his son? The next day I outfitted him with military incendiary ammunition and a way to disperse the rounds. I have never seen him happier. On a side note, there is apparently a thief breaking into libraries specializing in telepathic arts and a few mental-extension facilities around the city. Remember to increase security.
Day 25: I have been feeling…funny.
Day 27: The creature is becoming more distant from me and spends his time in my laboratory working on his own project. He is no longer the docile pet he once was and is becoming increasingly hostile. His intelligence is off the charts but I am unable to explain why. The learning element should not have granted him this much aptitude. Something must have gone wrong. Must research further.
Day 29: The creature will not allow me to perform any more tests upon him. He talks of leaving the laboratory. He mentioned blood and reckoning several times but I find it hard to remember much of what happened…did it happen?
Day 30: It’s doing something to me. I feel like I have lost my will. The creature has been experimenting and I do nothing but sit idly and watch him. Could he have stolen… No, that's preposterous.
Day 42: The Inuit used to see the polar bear as being very spiritually powerful. I am grasping as straws. Nothing seems to explain the increasingly dangerous intelligence of my creation. Perhaps there is an unknown mystical element affecting its brain processes.
Day ??: I have lost track of the days. The creature is upgrading himself. I believe it has taught himself dangerous psychic abilities. I am convinced I have transcended the realms of science. There is something unknown to man affecting this creature. Perhaps the Inuit were correct. There is something magical and mystical happening here. I should have never left South America. It was so much warmer there...warmer...
