He who fights monsters

Despite appearing to be human, Edward Yore manifested on May 7, 1952. He appeared to be at first a human baby abandoned at an orphanage. A Los Angeles couple adopted him, but soon Edward would show his true colors as he was adopted as Edward Yore. He grew to what appeared to be an adult male in one day. As a result, his "parents" go mad, giving Edward the time to do his own things. A friar described him not as a demon from hell, but a personification of Ennui, Chaos, and Melancholy. He only wanted entertainment. During his run, he formed criminal groups, gangs, racial tension, and a general catalyst to the chaos in Los Angeles. A month later on June 8, 1952, he would fall asleep in a slumber that would have him inactive. He became so entertained by the chaos he himself has formed, giving him the motive and opportunity to hibernate.

Forty years later, he would awaken after the end of the Cold War. Because world peace was at a potential, he would play an attempt of stirring more chaos and entertainment for himself. A bureau of Paranormal Investigations would be formed to counter him, yet he continues his entertainment. He would try to learn new things along the way to boost power. Still, he does feel melancholy due to having to stir chaos to entertain his perpetually bored nature.

Edward only rouses himself from his torpor to cajole others to be more interesting and entertaining. When extremely bored, he can be condescending and cynical to others. He does have a disregard for authority, finding police to be rather hilarious. When he isn't causing havoc, Edward is seen reading HP Lovecraft or Erich von Daniken. He is intrigued by extraterrestrials and theories relating to them. Lovecraft interests him due to acknowledging Edward's true heritage. The books would pacify him for a time, but when he is done reading, it is back to business.

Boredom

     Mental Defense: superior (rank 2)

Edward, being Edward, is VERY bored. Although it acts as a drive, it also acts as a defense. Most mental based attacks such as the infamous, "Mind probe" can be shrugged off due to his extreme boredom and melancholy, which is inherently rooted in his personality. He usually replies, "You call that a mental attack?" to the source. This allows him to use an opportunity to be even more condescending; asking why is the attacker persisting. One moment was when a clairvoyant attempted to enter Edward's mind. The unfortunate telepath was only met by a mental wall obstructed by Edward's innate boredom. What the opponent got was a scathing, "Do you actually think that would get in my head?" message. Then in the mind, a stop sign comes up with a jarring, "Ah ah ah! You didn't say the magic word!" "Please...GOD DAMMIT! I hate that eldritch crap!" the psychic responded. This led to the attacker giving up and retreating afterwards. "That was sweet." Edward chuckled.

Just being a jerk

     Emotion Control: standard (rank 1)

Yet again, he definitely is condescending, with no shame in sharing it. It does provoke others to fuel his entertainment, but Edward never cared to think. Some even applaud him for his diction and his "eloquence." Usually he would incite anger, just because he can.

Punchy thought

     Mind Blast: superior (rank 2)

Edward's very nature allows him to "share" his condescending thoughts. It is said to be as powerful as a ten millimeter bullet, sufficient to take town the unprepared. He just simply thinks of his would-be thought and projects it to the opponent, flushing down the opponent with a mind blast. This especially worked on an armored police officer, who was surprised that this can actually happen to him. He was pushed away and he was in a comatose. That allowed him to escape for his entertainment. He does acknowledge the fact that comatose people are not fun to play with, but he uses the mind blast to get himself out of a jam.

Might Makes Right

     Martial Arts: standard (rank 1)

Edward sometimes thinks that his innate powers are just not enough. He strolled through the streets and saw two thugs fighting each other. He merely observed, learning their way. Initially, he was amused. As time gone on, he encouraged them to be more entertaining, leading to a bloodier fight, with both trying to gouge each other's' eyes out, strangling each other, and even attempting to rip off testicles, entertaining Edward. One of them emerged victorious, but bloody. He chuckled afterwards, shook hands with Edward, and the two would part ways. After the moment, he synthesized the fighting style they used.
